1Traveling to Colca Valley The scenery from Arequipa to Chivay was spectacular with lots of views of snowcapped mountains. A paisagem de Arequipa para Chivay foi espetacular com vistas de montanhas cobertas de neve.

28 We were lucky to be in Chivay during a local celebration with lots of music, dance and beautiful clothes. Tivemos a sorte de estar em Chivay durante uma festividade local com muita música, dança e belíssimas roupas.

Nearly 3 weeks in Southern Peru allowed us the opportunity to visit several historical and archaeological sites as well as several churces and other must-see destinations, including Lima, Arequipa, Chivay, Colca Valley, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Uros, Taquile, Cusco, Saqsaywaman, Tambomachay, Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes, Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu. In Machu Picchu, besides the site itself, we also hiked up Huayna Picchu for an entirely different view of Machu Picchu.
